How YOU Can Help to Put an End to Factory Farming

Create awareness

Many people are unaware of how animals are reared for food. Most people wouldn't support these industries if they knew of the cruelty that takes place away from the public eye. You can help to create awareness by spreading the word to others. The industry is based on supply and demand. By choosing not to buy animal products and sharing your knowledge with others, you can help to lessen this demand.
Support farm animal sanctuaries

Farm animal sanctuaries provide care and rehabilitation to rescued animals from the farming industry. By supporting them financially or backing their campaigns, you can help them to look after the animals in their care as well as spread the message about factory farming and its victims.
Sign petitions or start your own

Don't underestimate the power of petitions. When enough people get behind a cause, not only does it create awareness, but it can make a real difference when the petitions are delivered to decision makers in positions of authority.
Leave animals off your plate

By choosing to leave animals and animal products off your plate, you are choosing a compassionate lifestyle that reflects your true values. The choices that you make in the supermarket can ensure a much kinder life for these animals, and not only will your health benefit, but so will the environment. Every little bit helps, so begin by incorporating more plant-based recipes into your daily life.
Make a donation

By supporting organisations that are campaigning against factory farming, you help to provide much needed funds which go towards increasing awareness and starting a revolution.
Lobby your supermarket

Next time you're in your local supermarket, fill out a customer feedback form asking them to no longer stock cage eggs or other factory farmed products. Alternatively, send them an email or chat with the manager in store. Also make sure to support them if they stock vegan products. If you refuse to buy factory farmed products, the businesses which provide them will quickly get the message that there is no future in cruelty.
Support suppliers of alternative products

By buying from companies that care for animals, you are showing that there is a demand for eco friendly products. There are so many wonderful products and foods available that don't make profits from cruelty. Supporting these businesses allows them to grow, which in turn makes their products more accessible to the general public.
Volunteer

It helps to get involved! We are always looking for volunteers to assist with the many projects that we are working on. They range from creating awareness, to protests, to fund raising for campaigns to working with restaurants to provide more vegan options. Register as a volunteer and help to give animals a dignified existence
