People

Vegans strive to benefit people by restoring the harmony between people on the one hand and the environment and non-human animals on the other.

Environment

Vegans strive to benefit the environment by restoring the harmony between it and all animals (including people).

Animals

Vegans strive to benefit non-human animals by restoring the harmony between them on the one hand and people and the environment on the other.

Kindness

Both kin and kindness connote the natural order. Vegans aim to return to this order of compassion and fellow-feeling to make ours a better world for all.

One Green Planet is a platform for the growing compassionate and eco-conscious generation.

We officially launched in 2013, with the goal of redefining 'green', because, well, the earth needs a media company that’s really got its back!

Pythagoras is famous among mathematicians and high school students for his triangle-explaining theorem. Vegetarians know him, however, as an outspoken advocate of animal rights in ancient Greece. According to Ovid, Pythagoras believed that 'animals share with us the privilege of having a soul', and also: 'For as long as men massacre animals, they will kill each other. Indeed, he who sows the seed of murder and pain cannot reap joy and love.'

Narrated by Academy Award Nominee Joaquin Phoenix and featuring music by the critically acclaimed platinum artist Moby, EARTHLINGS is a documentary film about humankind's complete economic dependence on animals raised for pets, food, clothing, entertainment and scientific research. Using hidden cameras and never-before-seen footage, EARTHLINGS chronicles the day-to-day practices of the largest industries in the world, all of which rely entirely on animals for profit.

List of famous vegans - see website below

Veganism extends from observing a vegan diet — a diet that includes no animals or animal products of any kind — to an entire lifestyle that precludes animal products from all aspects of life. Besides food, vegans may also choose to avoid clothes that utilise products such as leather, fur, wool and silk, cosmetics that have been tested on animals, and blood sports such as bullfighting and fox hunting.

People who adopt veganism for ethical reasons will often avoid or boycott all products or activities where their production or undertaking is perceived to exploit animals. All the people on this list are understood to adhere to a vegan diet, although their veganism may extend beyond just a dietary commitment.
